The addition and renovations elevate the high school to a state-of-the-art facility, including new STEAM labs, agriculture classrooms, a greenhouse, and an expanded commons + cafeteria.

Need: A high school facility that better supports 21st century learning

Solution: Expand the existing high school in strategic areas, and renovate and modernize much of the existing building

Result: A like-new high school with plenty of spaces to support the district’s expanding STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) curriculum

The Mount Horeb Area School District partnered with Bray to improve the high school’s security, building systems, and modernize multiple classroom and support spaces, including:

The large cafeteria features clerestory windows and is anchored by floor-to-ceiling windows
Students study in the tech ed commons area, which features a large atrium
Students work in the school's large welding shop complete with a view of the welding booths and upper mezzanine
Students collaborate on projects in the fabrication lab, which has windows into adjacent classrooms spaces to make it easier for teachers to supervise multiple rooms
