Little Prairie Primary School
We partnered with the East Troy Community School District to build an award-winning school that benefitted from extensive staff and administration input.
Need: Updated facilities for the district’s youngest learners and its administration
Solution: Build a new PreK-2 building and convert the former facility into an administrative building
Result: A bright and colorful school located on the same site as the existing elementary school, allowing the district to share staff between buildings

The Town Square Tree
The largest shared learning space in the school is known as the “town square,” which is inspired by the historic East Troy Town Square. The interactive tree trunk at the square’s center has four different areas – an interactive touch screen, Lego exploration, arts and crafts, and a play area. The abstracted tree branches, leaves, and clouds are designed to spark students’ imagination and creativity.
The SmartLab
Little Prairie’s SmartLab is the first in the nation completely dedicated to primary-aged children. Students can explore STEAM through project-based learning and applied technology in the fully-integrated learning environment.
Play Time!
The new school includes sports and recreation amenities geared for young students, including a gymnasium and an accessible and inclusive outdoor playground.
