With the 2023-24 school year wrapped up, we are taking a moment to reflect on another great year participating in Cristo Rey Jesuit High School’s Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP)!
Our valued partnership with Cristo Rey began in 2018 with the planning and design of their new high school, which opened in 2020, and has continued through participation in the CWSP. For the past five school years—and counting—we have welcomed student workers to gain experience in a professional environment.
This year, we welcomed four students—Anthony, Araceli, Mia, and Yesenia—to our Milwaukee office, where they joined the architecture, interior design, and marketing departments. Throughout the year, our student workers assisted the departments with various tasks and were introduced to software programs and tools our team members use daily.
Anthony, a student worker on the marketing team, shared, “My favorite part of working at Bray was learning and using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. These applications are fun, and once I was able to navigate around, I could accomplish a lot.”
“I appreciate that the CWSP pushes you out of your comfort zone, providing an opportunity to explore and learn about the work field in advance,” said Araceli, a student worker on the interior design team. “It helps you discover your true passions and acquire diverse skills from various fields, which can lead to greater success and make your resume stand out.”
Each student demonstrated growth this past year, and we couldn’t be prouder. And while we are sad the program year has come to an end, we know big things are ahead for these students — including some exciting summer plans!
Thank you, Anthony, Araceli, Mia, and Yesenia; we hope you enjoyed your experience at Bray!
