We couldn’t achieve our success without our talented team members, whose creative thinking and unique design strategies elevate every project. This month marks Michael Muchmore‘s fifth anniversary with us. Over the past five years, Michael has utilized his exceptional design skills on more than 14 projects, crafting functional and inclusive spaces for our clients. In honor of this milestone, we sat down with Michael to reflect on his journey and experiences with our team.
Over the course of 5 years at Bray, what have you learned?
Good communication is the cornerstone of all endeavors; sounds cliché but it’s so true. I’ve worked with many team members on lots of projects and keeping communication at the forefront throughout the entire project is crucial.
What do you like most about Bray? (Ex: team culture, company culture, your role, etc.)
The location of our office is perfect as there are many cool places within walking distance of the office. Within my role at the firm, I enjoy being involved in every aspect of a project, from the first design to the final punch list.
What piece of advice would you give to those just starting their career in the AEC industry?
A phone call goes farther and faster than anything else towards getting things done.
What is your favorite project you’ve worked on so far, and why?
If I have to choose just one, I’m going with Garden Prairie Intermediate School. It was a completely new building which is always a treat, and we had the opportunity to incorporate outside community elements into the learning environments through vivid, expressive, and tangible design choices. It was a fun project to work on!
