We couldn’t achieve our success without our talented team members, whose creative thinking and unique design strategies elevate every project. This month marks Gabby Aijala‘s fifth anniversary with us. Over the past five years, Gabby has been instrumental in bringing clients’ visions to life through her creation of renderings and design work for numerous projects. In honor of this milestone, we sat down with Gabby to reflect on her journey and experiences with our team.
Over the course of 5 years at Bray, what have you learned?
I’ve had a great opportunity to meet amazing mentors who help aid in my growth and knowledge within architecture from the technical to the creative side.
What do you like most about Bray?
I love the collaborative atmosphere Bray offers and the vast knowledge and insight my coworkers have. I’ve also greatly enjoyed working within the educational sector, it has so many interesting facets that intricately work cohesively together.
How would you describe your team?
My team is extremely talented and collaborative; I love working with such an amazing group of people. Our collaborative approach as a team makes our designs cohesive and successful.
What is your favorite project you’ve worked on so far, and why?
My favorite project (and the first new construction project I’ve worked on) is the new Schulte K-8 School in Racine Unified School District. Transitioning the new school to serve K-8 instead of the previous K-5 involved a lot of programming efforts to ensure all grade levels were represented. I’m eager to see it take shape as it just started construction!
