Restoring a 1916 Building

After a two-year, comprehensive study, the Sheboygan City Council opted to keep the Sheboygan City Hall in its current 1916 structure. We developed a plan to completely renovate the building – including completely restoring the historic building shell and renovating the main entry addition. The renovation also includes the installation of new building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology.

The new entry features a three-story glass curtain wall overlooking a pedestrian plaza that connects with the public library and city fountain. The historic stairway has become the focal point of the atrium.

This building retains its original historic design while updating facilities into a modern and cohesive workplace.
