Design Elements
Bray designed a unique, three-story academic stack built into a bluff, utilizing the natural topography while maximizing natural light and surrounding views. Classroom pods stem from a main corridor and feature individual classrooms with sliding glass doors that open up to a resource area, encouraging collaboration and aiding transparency.
Expansive upper and lower commons provide sweeping views and connect the Port Washington High School academic stack to a state-of-the-art gymnasium and extensively renovated auditorium. A multi-level, open-concept library with accessible resource rooms, created by renovating classroom space and a gymnastics room, helps modernize the learning environment.
Students can explore the school’s history through an interactive, multi-dimensional display case near the main entrance.
New Athletic Facilities
We also partnered with the district to create state-of-the-art athletic facilities for training, education, and recreation.
A Renovated Auditorium
The renovated, like-new auditorium provides top-notch amenities for performers and an upgraded audience experience.
