Bringing the Community Together
As a result of a needs analysis for the Ashwaubenon Community Center, exploration of potential solutions, and a village-wide survey, Bray worked closely with both the Ashwaubenon School District and Village to develop a four-question referendum which was passed in April 2014.
The referendum included a new community center to feature meeting and activity rooms, a full-service kitchen, office space, ample storage, dedicated drop-off with canopy, and expandability to include other village resources in the future. The center is fully ADA accessible.
The Ashwaubenon Community Center incorporates sustainable design to the highest energy efficiency possible within the project’s budget. The new community center was carefully sited within Klipstine Park to affect as few mature trees as possible.
