We couldn’t achieve our success without our talented team members, whose creative thinking and unique design strategies elevate every project. This month marks Mindy Piercy‘s fifth anniversary with us. Over the past five years, Mindy has been a vital team member, leading our branding efforts, producing numerous firm and client-facing collateral, and spearheading (in tandem with our other senior graphic designer) our brand refresh. In honor of this milestone, we sat down with Mindy to reflect on her journey and experiences with our team.
Over the course of 5 years at Bray, what have you learned?
In the past five years at Bray, I’ve learned the intricacies of guiding clients through referendum campaigns, reflected in the diverse materials I’ve crafted for clients. I love seeing how my work can positively impact communities by creating visually appealing and essential material while consistently maintaining a corporate brand in all my internal projects.
What do you like most about Bray? (Ex: Team culture, company culture, your role, etc.)
What I like most about Bray is the collaborative nature of my teammates, especially on the marketing team, where working with them brings out my best work. I also appreciate the design freedom to create and maintain the firm’s brand and identity across a variety of projects, which keeps my day-to-day work dynamic and engaging, allowing me to work on both client projects and Bray materials.
How would you describe your team?
My team is incredibly supportive and collaborative, with each member excelling in their respective roles. Their intelligence and expertise make them invaluable, while their fun, kind, and caring personalities create an enjoyable work environment. Our excellent communication ties everything together, fostering a cohesive and productive team dynamic.
What project or initiative are you most proud of and why?
I am very proud of the brand refresh and the new Bray Architects logo family. Leadership and the marketing director entrusted me and the other graphic designer on our team to lead this significant rebranding effort, which will serve the firm for years to come. Conceptualizing and creating the campaign was an invaluable professional experience that allowed me to showcase my skills.
