Design Features
The auditorium is connected to the existing school by an adjacent addition which houses choir and band rehearsal rooms and other music support areas. Another addition to the space includes a lobby, stagecraft, costume shop, dressing rooms, and concessions. Performances benefit from a full fly loft, orchestra pit, and a LED theatrical lighting system.
Referendum
Funding the Project
Taxpayers in the Slinger School District approved a $42 million referendum, part of which was directed to the high school‘s new performing arts center. The remaining amount supported the renovations throughout the high school, as well as building additions and upgrades at the district’s three elementary schools and middle school.
